Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia
The University started with its first intake in June 2002. With its initial offer of 8 courses, the University has attracted increasingly strong support from the public. To date, its enrolment stands at 3,800.

Three faculties and one centre have been established: Faculty of Accountancy & Management, Faculty of Arts & Social Science, Faculty of Information & Communication Technology, and Center for Extension Education. Two more faculties and one institute will be established in the near future: Faculty of Engineering & Science, Faculty of Medicine & Health Science, and the Institute of Postgraduate Studies.


Eight courses are offered currently: Bac of Accounting (Hons), Bac of Business Administration (Hons), Bac of Arts (Hons) Chinese Studies, Bac of Communication (Hons) Journalism, Bac of Communication (Hons) Public Relations, Bac of Computer Science (Hons), Bac of Information Systems (Hons) Business Information System, and Bac of Information Systems (Hons) Information Systems Engineering. Many new courses will be introduced soon.

UTAR's honours degree programmes in Journalism and Public Relations certainly ties in well with ACMS activities and objectives. More courses will be introduced in the areas of advertising, graphic design, broadcasting and other communications-related disciplines. This will further enhance opportunities for collaboration in teaching, research and general exchange of ideas between the two institutions.


Multimedia University, Malaysia
Being the first government approved private university in Malaysia, Multimedia University (MMU) plays an important role in providing world class education within the broad sphere of telecommunications, multimedia, computers, digital art, animation, information technology, software development, and management. With IT and Multimedia evolving at high speed, MMU is strategically placed within the MSC to capture and to capitalise the continual technology transfer from external industries, and to create new inventions, innovations and technology to benefit the nation. In its effort to enhance research and development activities, the university has identified various key niche areas and formed several Centres of Excellence where academic staff and students collaborate on various research interests. Collaborative efforts with leading international companies have strengthened its reputation further as an international academic institution.

Programmes offered by MMU are uniquely designed to prepare students to meet the global challenges in IT and multimedia in both its campuses at Cyberjaya and Melaka. At present, MMU has more than 15,000 students pursuing their studies in the fields of Engineering, Information Technology, Management and Creative Multimedia. Through research and development efforts, MMU hopes to address the needs of technology and multimedia-oriented companies located within the MSC and offer effective solutions to real-world problems.
